Traveling Chemical Waves

The Zhabotinsky-Belosov reaction is set up to display the curious feature of traveling waves.

A petri dish is set up to run the Z-B reaction on top of an overhead projector. The initial concentrations to be mixed are:

  1. [BrCH(COOH)2] = 0.075M
  2. [Fe(phen)^2+_3] = 0.00545M
  3. [NaBrO3] = 0.23M
  4. [H2SO4] = 0.26M
