Atmospheric Chemistry Data

Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS)

TOMS Browser
Browse through the TOMS level 3 gridded total ozone data before placing an order or downloading.

Anonymous FTP
Download the TOMS global total ozone and reflectivity daily level 3 gridded HDF format files via FTP.

TOMS CD-ROMs
The entire Nimbus-7 Ozone, Nimbus-7 Reflectivity, Meteor-3 TOMS, and Nimbus-7 UV-Erythemal Exposure data are available on CD-ROMs.

DAAC Archive Search & Order
TOMS global total ozone and reflectivity daily level 3 gridded and level 2 orbital HDF format files. (Follow the links DATA SET and TOMS.)

Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS)

Anonymous FTP
Download selected UARS data products from the HALOE, SOLSTICE and SUSIM instruments via FTP. Also includes the most recent month (about 2-3 months from current date) data from the HRDI, MLS and PEM instruments, as well as correlative NMC and UKMO.

DAAC Archive Search & Order
UARS data sets from CLAES, HALOE, HRDI, ISAMS, MLS, PEM, SOLSTICE, SUSIM, WINDII, UKMO, & NMC (follow the links DATA SET and UARS).

UARS CD-ROMs
This is an 8 volume CD-ROM collection containing UARS level 3A, level 3B, and correlative data from the first 3 years (Sept. 1991 through Sept. 1994).

Shuttle Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet (SSBUV)

Anonymous FTP
Download the SSBUV 1, 2, 3, & 4, Ames 1010 format files via FTP.

Interdisciplinary Data

TOMS Global Total Ozone, Monthly, 1 X 1 degree, IEEE binary format (ftp)

Historic Data

Several other ozone datasets are archived at the Goddard DAAC. These include Nimbus-4 Backscatter Ultraviolet Spectrometer (BUV) data, Nimbus-7 Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet Spectrometer (SBUV) and Limb Infrared Monitor of the Stratosphere (LIMS) data, and Solar Mesosphere Explorer (SME) data. They are part of the NSSDC's heritage data. To order these datasets contact the Goddard DAAC helpdesk.

Documentation and Software for these datasets are also available. In addition, we maintain a list of links to sites outside the Goddard DAAC that contain ozone data.

Seeking New Atmospheric Chemistry Data
In order to expand our data holdings we are now seeking new Atmospheric Chemistry related datasets. If you know of a dataset that would be a likely candidate for inclusion in this archive and broad distribution via the World Wide Web, please contact the Atmospheric Chemistry Data Support Team.
