Hey Dad:

Thanks for the backpack! But i bought another one in Gorham, N.H.
the day after i spoke with you on the phone. i got it for $99. a "Lowe/Alpine" very
small pack...frameless holds 50 Liters. i've decided to go lightweight. i'll be
breaking up my mail drops from her on out. My pack weighs 30-35 lbs now and i'm
cruising!! in running shoes too. i've been running portions of the trail [i wondered how long
it would take for me to start running this trail!!] i assume you can return the tioga pack as it's
unused...thanks for the thought. i was suprised to see it here at the top of the
mountain as the P.O. here is very small and holds very few packages. i had 4 packages here
and the were all here!! i returned the pack in box to your chemistry address. it may
take a while to get there. i sent it cheap (4th class). hope all is well in RI.
