Hey dad--> I've managed to make it to Cheshire, Ma. 6 days late. So far I've taken 10 days off from the trail. 2 days waiting for high water, 3 days on the 4th of July weekend to go to Maine's Mount Dessert Island, one day in west Hartford Vt. waiting out a Sunday for the P.O. and 4 days last weekend to take a road trip to Boiling Springs Pa. The spring there really does boil! But anyways.. i've been walking 20-25 miles per day though Vt. and Ma. Easy terrain. and no more breaks for a while. i'm going to try for over 1,000 miles in the next 50 days. i'm also going to try and not shower for the next 50 days either!!! Just to see what it's like to be a total grub. The pictures look good.I have to keep reminding myself that i've got a camera as i'm not used to it. I missed nearly all of Vt. because i just kept not thinking to take pictures. Oh well. Also.. there is another roll of film in the old green Kelty that i sent back, the broken one. the film is in one of the side pockets.

Warm and sunny weather for a change has been nice. Though lots of flash downpours interspersed. well off to hike another 20...

Poughquage NY in 7 days..more later

P.S.--> did you receive the Kelty Pack that ou sent to Mt. Washington, N.H.? i hope it got back to you!
