Here is a replacement for the Yukon Kelty pack. It was on sale at EMS. The bag is a Kelty Tioga and is last years model. It cost $23 more than a Yukon that was also on sale. You might send the remaining bag back. I assume the frame is beyond repair, but if you can mail it OK. I looked at a range of other packs. All were heavier than the Yukon, or this one, but all had a larger carrying volume. I inspected the metal frames and, excepting the Kelty Yukon, they all seemed to be about the same and stronger than the Yukon. So, I hope this Tioga is OK. For packing reasons I removed the top bar of the pack frame. It is inside the bag.

I assume you do not need a tent since there are lean-tos around, but if you do here are a couple of examples made by Kelty. Let us know. The main idea, I guess, would be light weight and stability against wind.

Here are some dehydrated meals as emergency fare. Some power bars too. Since you must be burning several thousand calories per day (I guess about 5,000) these rations do not seem to meet energy needs, but to hold you for a couple of days they may do the trick. The dehydrated food was recommended by one of the EMS hikers who said he liked the non-meat variety. These are for two people so you can double the calorie count on the back to get an estimate. I cannot imagine more than one person eating these. Anyway, they can be used for emergency, or for variety.
